Human Resource Management and Development Directorate
Sets the sector's policy on workforce planning, training, performance and labour relations, and keeps a stable management framework for the sector's staff.
Units
- Human resource planning
- Sets policy on the sector's staffing needs, plans careers, and estimates the demand for and supply of health workers. Handles deployment, secondments and postings.
- Training and development
- Reviews and develops career training policies, collects the training needs found in appraisals, and oversees promotions.
- Performance management
- Develops the framework for institutional and staff performance, including appraisals and performance agreements.
- Health training institutions
- Facilitates admission to public and private health training institutions, sets staffing norms for them, monitors their performance, and arranges their accreditation and international exchanges.
- Labour relations
- Develops the means to deal with labour unrest and related challenges.
The directorate reports to the Chief Director. All directorates.
