Finance Directorate
Responsible for financial management policy, resource mobilisation, disbursement, accounting and reporting, and for the finances of the ministry's headquarters.
Units
- Accounts
- Processes headquarters transactions for government subventions, the health fund and earmarked funds, prepares financial and management reports, and supports the ministry's regulatory and statutory agencies with their financial management.
- Financial information
- Prepares financial statements for external use, keeps financial information for management control, and leads the development of accounting systems.
- Business analysis
- Helps plan and monitor the ministry's performance, and advises on the control of expenditure and budgets.
- Statutory audit
- Prepares for and controls the statutory audit, and plans the follow-up of audit findings.
- Asset management
- Grows the ministry's financial and physical assets, monitors cash flow, and helps control and investigate the risk of fraud.
The directorate reports to the Chief Director. All directorates.
