An unofficial rebuild of a Government of Ghana website

How you know this is unofficial

This is a demonstration built on afrigov. It is not run by the National Identification Authority. The real website is nia.gov.gh.

Official websites use .gov.gh. This one does not, and it carries no government seal. Nothing you type here is sent to the authority.

National Identification Authority Ghana Card

Registration centres for ages 6 to 14

Ghanaian children aged 6 to 14 are registered at Premium Centres and at chosen schools in each district.

A parent must come with the child, and bring the child's National Health Insurance card so the two records can be linked.

No school centres are listed yet

The authority's list of schools, by district and region, had no entries when this page was built on 2 October 2026. Children can be registered at any Premium Centre in the meantime.

Children under six are not fingerprinted. Their number is linked to a parent's Ghana Card, and their own biometrics are taken when they turn six.
