Technology and Innovation Expo
Nigeria's yearly science and technology exhibition, held in the third week of October, where researchers and inventors meet investors.
The Expo began as National Science and Technology Week, first held in October 1988. The Federal Executive Council set the third week of October each year for it. It took its current name in 2017, when the first Expo was held at Eagle Square, Abuja.
The ministry reports that patents for research findings rose from 6 in 2015 and 16 in 2016 to 50 by the end of 2017. Future editions are planned for each of the six geopolitical zones.
