They discussed bringing research results to market, protecting intellectual property, and supporting innovators, researchers, start-ups and creative businesses.

The Minister said the ministry would work with WIPO to raise public awareness of intellectual property and to strengthen how it is administered and protected in Nigeria.

Mr Tang said WIPO would support Nigeria with technical assistance and training. Both sides agreed to work towards a memorandum of understanding.

Issued by Mrs Pauline Sule, Head, Press and Public Relations.
