The Permanent Secretary, Dr Mukhtar Yawale Muhammad, received a delegation from the Forensic Ambassadors Academy Africa on the Minister's behalf, at the ministry in Abuja.

The Minister said using science in investigations and trials makes justice more transparent and accountable, and called for Nigerian expertise in forensic science.

The Academy's Executive Secretary, Abraham Kwaghfan, said the non-profit wants to work with the ministry on forensic science education, research and training across Africa.

Issued by Mrs Pauline Sule, Head, Press and Public Relations.

This is a shorter account. The ministry's full release is on scienceandtech.gov.ng.
