Procurement Department
Plans and carries out the procurement for all the ministry's projects and programmes, under the Public Procurement Act 2007. It has fifteen staff.

What the department does
- Procurement planning and implementation for the ministry
- Serves as secretariat to the Ministerial Tenders Board and the Procurement Planning Committee
- Checks with stock verifiers and user departments that goods, works and services meet the contract
- Sends procurement records and plans to the Bureau of Public Procurement each year, and requests its certificates of no objection
- Handles petitions about procurement processes
