Information and Communication Technology Department
Sets, carries out and monitors policy for information and communication technology in science and technology, and runs the ministry's own computers, networks and websites. Created in 2007, it reports directly to the Permanent Secretary.

What the department does
- Oversees ICT infrastructure and software development
- Runs the ministry's computer networks and internet connection
- Builds and maintains the ministry's websites, including scienceandtech.gov.ng and nigeriatechnoexpo.gov.ng
- Trains the ministry's staff in ICT
- Represents the ministry on ICT committees and at conferences such as ITU and WSIS
- Contributes to reviews of the National ICT Policy
